DESCRIPTION:

The AMM - CURVE-KEY PRO-KIT is a set of 9 factory-programmed curve-keys for downloading into AMM - IMMOGNITION I & II.

Each curve-key contains an individually balanced curve-field which is developed and tested by AMM, in order to deliver excellent performance and characteristics for the appropriate motorcycle.

The 9 different curve-fields are structured in such a way, that you can easily determine the curve-key, that fits your touring-, sport- or race-application.

Every curve-field features excellent idling and overall-performance. Any HD-engine is supported (also engines with modified bore/stroke).

A detailed user's manual with explicit information is included.

Dealers must own the AMM - CURVE-KEY PRO-KIT in order to obtain AMM's dealer authorization.

Modifications to the curve-fields, contained in this package, can be made with the AMM-IMMOGNITION PROGRAMMING-KIT, which is sold separately.

CHOICE OF ADVANCE CURVES

All advance curves contained in this kit have a quasi linear rise on low rpm and move to the maximum advance in an exponential manner. The maximum advance angle stays constant, until the rev-limiter is activated after the appropriate rpm-value is reached.

This basic geometry has proved the best potential in extensive tests.

Curves with a faster rise-time will behave more aggressive at lo rpm; i.e. a sport advance curve will reach its maximum advance angle at lower rpm than a touring curve.

Different engines “need" different maximum advance angles.

The supplied curve-keys are structured as follows:

Stage I:

maximum advance angle is 30,2°

Stage II:

maximum advance angle is 34,5°

Stage III:

maximum advance angle is 38,8°

There are 3 different curve-forms in every stage:

Touring:

slow rise

rev-limit at 5400 rpm

Sport:

medium rise

rev-limit at 5900 rpm

Race:

fast rise

rev-limit at 6500 rpm

In addition the curve keys are numbered as follows:

1

Stage I

Touring

30,2° at 2700 rpm

rev to 5400 rpm

2

Stage I

Sport

30,2° at 2300 rpm

rev to 5900 rpm

3

Stage I

Race

30,2° at 2000 rpm

rev to 6500 rpm

4

Stage II

Touring

34,5° at 3000 rpm

rev to 5400 rpm

5

Stage II

Sport

34,5° at 2700 rpm

rev to 5900 rpm

6

Stage II

Race

34,5° at 2500 rpm

rev to 6500 rpm

7

Stage III

Touring

38,8° at 3300 rpm

rev to 5400 rpm

8

Stage III

Sport

38,8° at 3000 rpm

rev to 5900 rpm

9

Stage III

Race

38,8° at 2800 rpm

rev to 6500 rpm

Regarding the low rpm range, the curves behave concerning to their classification in Touring/Sport/Race. That means, that the touring-curve of stage I shows basically the same idling and low rpm characteristics as the touting-curves of stage II or stage III.

Behaviour in the medium and high rpm-range is determined by the stage. That means that the top-end power of a stage I touring-curve will be the same as of a stage I race-curve (rev-limit not respected). But in low rpm the race-curve will be much more aggressive.

So: maximum advance is determined by the stage (30,2°, 34,5° oder 38,8°) and the low-rpm behaviour depends on the choice of a Touring/Sport/Race curve.

The knowledge on how the curves are structured gives you a basic understanding and helps you to determine the right curve for the right application.

Every Curve-Field is individually balanced in order to ensure best results.
